Outcry over Customer who tried to Underpay Indian Fine Dining Eatery  

A woman who tried to fleece takeaway owner Mohammed Saeid is yet to be named and shamed  

Dozens of locals have called for the identification of a customer who attempted to short-pay Robby’s Indian Fine Dining in Kingswinford. The owner was forced to give away the unpaid-for food to a homeless person as a result.  

Mr Saeid, the 27-year-old business owner, said he received a call close to midnight at the Townsend-place based establishment from a woman in a nearby pub. However, when she came into the takeaway, she attempted to cover the cost of her order with online a £10 note. This mis-encounter occurred even though she knew the order would be more than £20.  

According to Mr Saeid, the customer said: “take it or leave” when she tried to hand him a handful of coins. She was turned away without her meal and made to leave the premises. 

Since the food was made fresh on her count, the business lost a valuable amount of income from the produce used in the order. Mr Saeid later gave the food to a rough sleeper on Soho Road. 

Many loyal customers of the takeaway turned to Facebook to share their disbelief over the incident.Michael Luke said: “Should have chucked the food over her head and gave the homeless guy the coins.” 

Tom Brooks commented: “Respect to the manager making that decision. I hope the customer enjoyed their pot noodle.” 

While Leon Baugh added: “Should 100 per cent name and shame if have a name.” 

However, another Facebook user, Waqar Ahmed, stated that this type of attitude was common in the taxi-business. He described the trade as being notorious for short-changed customers. He said: “They were a lot more grateful and thankful than someone who thinks we work hard to be insulted.”
